Jeb

Jeb is a dark blue merle male sired by Logan Ridge Boo out of Slash V Sweet Innocent Josie, STDs. He is out of the first litter from this mating. The genetic package of Dude with a solid Slash V foundation through both Possum and Lodi is complemented by superb working ability and intelligence as the others in this litter has shown. I did chose his name because of the Brooks and Dunn song, Hillbilly Deluxe. In the song there is a line that says, "black denim and chrome." Well his britches are black and he's chromed out. Jeb seems to be as talented as I remembered Slash to be. Those are some great big shoes to fill but he working on it.

He is a very quiet, powerful worker that handles cattle with ease and prefers the head. As we watch him mature and his training progress, he is showing an extreme amount of courage on cattle and no fear of gripping either head or heel. His gathering instincts are strong and he has excellent balance on sheep. As a cattle dog he will be hard to beat.

As you can see my Dad has always had a knack for picking a great dog or maybe the truth is as you can see by the look on Jeb's face, "you can't fool a great dog..."
