Georgia is a light blue merle female sired by Logan Ridge Boo out of Slash V Sweet Innocent Josie, STDs. She is out of the first litter from this mating and DNA-VP. We chose her name because of her likeness of her mom in looks and personality. George Strait's song "It Just Comes Natural" fit the show bill for her, so we named her Georgia. If we had to throw all our bets in to one bucket it would be on this little girl. The genetic package of Dude with a solid Slash V foundation through both Possum and Lodi is complimented by superb working ability and intelligence.
Georgia continues to amaze us with her intelligence and stock savvy. As of January 14, 2010 was 1st Place in Advance Cattle in ASCA's Merit Program. It is unique to find this level of working intensity along with such a willingness to accept training. Georgia has a similar working posture and amount of eye on stock as WTCH Slash V Dark Rider, PATD (Sam x Lodi) and is a very strong head dog. She has plenty of power and excellent judgment on the use of grip on either end. She's quiet, confident, and thinks her way through situations. Tony started Georgia's trialing career early spring 2008 with some impressive qualifying scores and placements in Started Cattle and Sheep at the April Showers trial in Dothan, AL. At the April Showers trial in Dothan, Alabama, Georgia in her trialing debut, finished her Started Sheep and Cattle titles. Georgia completed one leg of her STD ducks in Memphis, TN at the Mid-South trial in June 08. She finished her STD ducks title and earned her first leg in OTDd in Cartersville, Ga in October 2008.
At the GAASC Spring Fling March 2009, Georgia finished her OTD cattle with a 1st place finish, a qualifying score of 106 and *HIT* cattle. She received her first Advanced legs in Cattle and Ducks at the October 2009 FCASC trial. Georgia got *HIT* Cattle and Ducks with a 105 in each.
Georgia finished her ATD duck title at the GAASC trial in October with a 3rd place finish and a qualifying score of 1071/2. She also earned her title in ATD cattle with a 1st place *High in Cattle* finish on Sunday and a qualifying score of 119. Georgia finished her two advanced sheep titles in Dothan, AL on Goats during the Christmas Classic to earn the first WTCH title for Coosawattee Aussies. We are so proud of our girl!
